POEM SERIES #4.

1
To learn while still a child
What life is meant to be
To know it goes beyond myself
Is so much more than me
2
To overcome the tragedies
To survive the hardest times
To face those moments filled with pain
And still manage to be kind
3
To fight for those who can’t themselves
To always share my light
With those who wander in the dark
To love with all my might
4
To still stand up with courage
Though standing on my own
To still get up and face each day
Even when I feel alone
5
To try and understand the ones
That no one cares to know
And make them feel some value
When the world has let them go
6
To be an anchor, strong and true
That person, loyal to the end
To be a constant source of hope
To my family and my friends
7
To live a life of decency
To share my heart and soul
To always say I’m sorry
When I’ve harmed both friend and foe
8
To be proud of whom I’ve tried to be
And this life I choose to live
To make the most of everyday
By giving all I’m able to give
9
To me that’s what life should be
To me that’s what is for
To take what God has given me And make it so much more

POEM SERIES #1.
1
A sound sleep after crossing the line.
Perseverance, the secret, a key.
On this long voyage
As old as time.
2
An ongoing course with both origin and end.
This river, where the waves
Are forever in tranquility or disarray.
Its sweet waters
Like a comforting embrace.
And bitter flows
A fatal contagion.
3
A quest, race, test.
For survival, for rest.
And I too have been in this long race
Since I was first brought forth
Under the crimson morn.
4
Alone on my raft.
My only comrade, a golden compass.
The masses have different vessels from one another
And get capsized offentimes.
5
Some fade away or wander by the river bank.
This voyagers set out but never cross the line.
But I would never pause till I reach my rest.
Till the end is nigh, I wouldn’t stop
6
When the sun was apex
I made myself another vessel
A fine boat of many colours.
7
Again, I continued to seek nature’s rest
In the eve of the day
When time seemed endless likewise this quest.
My mind, heavy with qualm.
8
As I approach bitter waters
I smile; despite the raging waves
I could make out the river’s end
Just a few moments away
9
I see rest on the other side
A hoary mist; the deepest of night
His wings of sleep spread abroad
And arms ajar
For a sweet embrace
10
It’s just a few moments away
I can’t wait
Till night falls
Till the end
